The workshop concluded with the handing out 
of attendance certificates to all participants. 
In addition to the certificates of appreciation, 
the organisers and lecturers also received a 
gift of appreciation handed out on behalf of the 
participants.
The expertise among participants ranged from 
novice to expert in sampling, sampler training 
and quality assurance. Lively discussions took 
place, both among participants and between 
participants and lecturers. The workshop was 
considered a success, as confirmed by positive 
feedback in the post-event online evaluation; 
by and large, all rated the workshop as ‘very 
good’ or ‘excellent’. One suggestion, made by 
several participants, is that we should consider 
extending the workshops to five days, instead of 
the current four.
