He retired as a sales consultant. Advanta Seeds adds Leo Brown as business development manager for forages. In his new role, Brown will lead efforts to broaden Advanta and Alta Seeds relationships within the dairy and fed cattle industry. PRODUCT NEWS Monsanto Canada plans to commercialize TruFlex canola with Roundup Ready Technology in 2019. TruFlex canola will serve as the base platform on which all future Monsanto pipeline traits in canola will be stacked. Arcadia Biosciences reports field trial results from the past two crop seasons showing significant yield gains in rice with three proprietary input traits stacked together. In the trials, multiple rice lines carrying the nitrogen use efficiency (NUE), water use efficiency (WUE) and salinity tolerance (ST) traits outperformed appropriate control lines by an average of 25 percent under limiting nitrogen applications. Nutrien’s retail division, soon to be rebranded as Nutrien Ag Solutions, announced the launch of a new digital platform designed to augment its distribution network, agronomic advice and services. The platform will provide growers with an easy to use, personalized all-in-one customer experience. Arcadia Biosciences plans to add new reduced gluten (RG) wheat lines to its GoodWheat portfolio of branded ingredients.
