She joined Canterra Seeds in 2008 following her tenure as president and CEO of the Brewing and Malting Barley Research Institute (BMBRI). Stephen Denys, Maizex Seeds Business Management Director Stephen is a recognized leader in the seed industry given not only his efforts in business development, but his contributions to several industry issues and initiatives through the Canadian Seed Trade Association, of which he is a past president. Todd Hyra, President, Canadian Seed Trade Association Todd’s love of agricul- ture started in childhood, being raised on a mixed grain and beef farm in Grandview, Man. He con- tinued his journey in agri- culture when he began his career in 1990 in the seed industry, first at Proven Seed, and now, at SeCan. He is also president of the Canadian Seed Trade Association. Bethany Shively, Communications Director, American Seed Trade Association Bethany works closely with senior staff and the association’s leadership to promote the seed indus- try’s regulatory and legisla- tive positions as well as its many initiatives to sup- port seed education and research. She has been with ASTA since 2015.
