My mother is the Lily Queen with over 50 varieties in her yard each year - when I see a lily I think of her - makes me happy!! 2. Typically these would be flowers that bring back memories from childhood. For me that would be the 2-3 meters high, bright yellow Rudbeckias. My grandmother used to grow them and they were very easy to multiply so wherever she had an empty spot in the garden, she would plant a patch of these flowers. They make great cutflowers too. 3. Daisies always make me happy-- they’re not my favorite flower, but my mom always managed to send me daisies for my first day of school. 4. Wild lilacs always remind me of the family cabin, they’re quite plentiful there.
