To ensure seed growers get the support they need, the Alberta Seed Growers and the Agriculture Financial Services Corporation work to keep insurance products up to date. So far this year, 157,855 pedigreed seed acres and 286 seed farms were insured by AFSC under the ASG program. That’s up from 140,554 acres and 265 farms the year prior. AFSC, in partnership with ASG, provides a number of insurance products to seed growers, the most recent being changes to alfalfa seed insurance.
