anesthesia

The Indiana Crop Improvement Association (ICIA) will host its annual open house and member appreciation event Aug. 11-12 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
On Aug. 11, attendees can tour the lab, meet with staff and play a round of golf with colleagues. Tours will be given from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a golf scramble to follow. That evening a reception and dinner will be held at Coyote Crossing Golf Course in West Lafayette.
The next day will feature an educational session from 8 a.m. to noon that spotlights testing protocols and product updates for the upcoming seed quality testing season. Dow AgroSciences, Syngenta and Monsanto will each have representatives participating.
Additionally, Joe Becovitz, Office of the Indiana State Chemist, will discuss best management practices for the application of pesticides and seed treatments. Participants will also learn about the latest activities and achievements of the American Seed Trade Association.
An open house will be held that afternoon in honor of Larry Nees, who retired from the Office of the Indiana State Chemist June 1.
