The Independent Professional Seed Association is saddened to share that Channing Sieben, one of the original incorporators of what was then the Independent Professional Seedsman Association, passed away on March 17 at his home in Mexico. Sieben had been living in Mexico since his retirement.
Sieben, along with Lyle “Bud” Davis, Frank Thorp, Brad Biddick, and Mike Schechinger, served as a member of the Pre-Incorporation Steering Committee for IPSA. He is also listed as ‘an incorporator’ of the association.
Sieben served as IPSA president from its formation in 1989 through 1992, and then continued to act as executive director.
