A record 440 attendees were told to “reach for the last inch and give it your all” by retired U.S. Navy SEAL commander Rorke Denver at the 27th Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) Annual Conference in St. Louis, Missouri last week.
“I was glad that so many members and guests were able to hear that message,” said Todd Martin, IPSA executive director. “Our member companies face some challenging times, but giving it all is what they do. It keeps them successful.”
Denver headlined the opening session of the conference that also included the unveiling of new benefit services offered to members.
Denver played Lt. Commander Rorke in “Act of Valor,” a 2012 film that grossed $80 million at the box office and starred numerous real-life Navy SEALs. He’s also the author of the New York Times bestselling book Damn Few: Making the Modern SEAL Warrior.
Attendees also enjoyed a dynamic afternoon of breakout speakers covering topics from safety and human resources to customer segmentation and how to champion agriculture.
Ben Steyer of Steyer Seeds was selected to serve on the IPSA board in the business session and work alongside IPSA’s new president, Randy Wilken.
