Responding to the demand of the plant breeding community, the UC Davis Plant Breeding Academy is offering the first open enrollment Advanced Module course.
The class will take place in Davis, California, Nov. 3-5. The module is designed to review the breeding strategies in context of the modern tools and build the necessary background towards understanding and practical application of BLUPs, genomic selection, with lectures and discussion on the following topics:
- Multivariate selection
- Linear and mixed models
- BLUPs , genomic selection
- Advanced experimental designs and analysis
- Dealing with testing environments
The full registration fee is $950. An early-bird discount of $100 is available for registrations before Sept. 1, 2015.
