Former Seedsman Named to Farm Foundation Board

At it’s most recent board meeting, leaders of the Farm Foundation elected Mark Scholl of J and M Scholl Inc. in Owensboro, Ky. as chairman of the board of trustees.
Scholl is president of J and M Scholl, inc., a family agriculture holding company that includes a farm, an export grain business, a wind farm and real estate holdings. Scholl worked in the finance industry before an interest in commercialization of value-added grains lead to starting ExSeed Genetics, which was sold to BASF. During his time with BASF, Scholl served as director of BASF Plant Science.
The Farm Foundation does not advocate or lobby, but it works as a catalyst for sound public policy providing objective information to foster a deeper understanding of issues shaping the future for agriculture, food systems and rural communities.
