The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is hosting the International Biotechnology Symposium on Aug. 31, in Bloomington, Illinois. The goal of the half-day event is to bring together international agricultural stakeholders to discuss the importance of biotechnology trait approval with a focus on the European Union and China.
The symposium includes speakers and panels who will talk about the constraints of biotech trait approvals, cost of delayed approvals, the role of biotech crops in the value chain and importance of biotech crops to global food security. ISA, as a farmer-led organization, is committed to the future of biotech traits as a key to healthy and secure food for more people around the world. ISA believes biotech approval processes should be scientifically based, effective and efficient.
