Court proceedings are underway in a lawsuit against DuPont Pioneer in Hawaii.
A group of Waimea residents are suing DuPont, claiming their quality of life has been diminished as a result of dust that blows from nearby fields containing genetically modified crops, an attorney representing the group told a jury this week.
According to the Associated Press, the residents say the dust not only affects their quality of life, but diminishes property values, harms the environment and is unhealthy.
