The University of California, Davis, Seed Biotechnology Center will host several courses that focus on the business of seed; seed biology, production and quality; and program management. In addition, the center will continue it’s various plant breeding academies.
These courses and academies are available throughout the year and are designed to help professionals in the seed industry further their education and knowledge base.
Upcoming courses, dates and locations include:
- Seed Biology Production and Quality, Feb. 10-12, Davis, California.
- Seed Business 101 for horticulture, March 9-13, Davis, California.
- Seed Business 101 for field crops, June 15-19, St. Louis, Missouri.
- Program Management for Plant Breeders, Sept. 22-24, Davis, California.
Also, applications are being accepted for the European Plant Breeding Academy, which will begin in October in Gent, Belgium. After graduating its first class of students, the African Plant Breeding Academy, too, is accepting applications for the second class, which will begin in June in Kenya.
