Illinois Foundation Seeds Inc. has elected John Hennenfent as chairman of the board for a one-year term.
“Hennenfent brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position,” says John Hiser, CEO of IFSI. “I am looking forward to tapping into his expertise as IFSI creates product solutions for field crops and sweet corn clients globally.”
During this time, Hennenfent will carry on chairman duties in addition to his ownership/president role at Munson Hybrids. The IFSI chairman administers a 12-person board, which provides overall strategic direction and planning, ensuring that IFSI reaches the financial goals for its shareholders and provides direction to management.
“I’ve owned and managed Munson Hybrids for the past 15 years and been involved in the corn and soybean seed industry for over 26 years,” Hennenfent says. “The chairman role at IFSI will afford me the opportunity to witness what is happening with field crops and the sweet corn industry in another capacity as well as on an international scale.”
