The University of California, Davis, Office of Research recognizes HM.CLAUSE with the 2016 Innovative Community Partner award, which is given annually to a leader in the community that has contributed to regional growth and entrepreneurship in collaboration with the university.
In 2015, HM.CLAUSE donated more than 3,000 square feet of wet lab facilities on its research campus to house the UC Davis – HM.CLAUSE Life Science Innovation Center, a business incubator that helps startup ventures access capital. The facility, which offers chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology lab space, is the first of its kind in the region and houses seven startup companies.
Accepting the award on behalf of HM.CLAUSE was Mark Stowers, vice president and head of global research and development. Stowers worked closely with Dushyant Pathak, associate vice chancellor, to establish the center.
