From Seed to Retail: Disney Forges Partnerships in the Ag Sector

Disney’s share in the produce market is made possible by Golden Sun Marketing, founded by Don Goodwin.
Goodwin and Golden Sun Marketing provide strategy, business development and marketing services to the fresh produce supply chain from seed to retail. He’ll speak tomorrow to attendees of the American Seed Trade Association’s Vegetable & Flower Seed Conference in Anaheim, California.
He has enjoyed a well-rounded career of over 35 years and counting, during which he has touched just about every aspect of the supply chain – from procurement to wholesale to marketing. His broad spectrum of clients include seed companies, grower/shippers, wholesalers, retailers and the Walt Disney Company.
Disney Consumer Products works with Golden Sun Marketing to partner with growers and shippers, allowing Disney to launch several new and refreshed Disney-branded products that tie in to Disney entertainment.
Before founding Golden Sun Marketing, Goodwin led Target’s produce division with the rollout of SuperTarget in 1995 and served as the chief operating officer of Green Giant Fresh where he built retail and grower partnerships to expand the Green Giant brand. He has also received many accolades throughout his career, including being honored by The Packer 25: Most Influential Leaders in the Produce Industry.
