Marrone Bio Innovations Hires New Marketing Leadership

Marrone Bio Innovations, Inc. announces that Nancy Hood has joined the company as its Vice President of Marketing. In this role, Nancy will be responsible for the strategic marketing of MBI’s portfolio of products to growers and distributors of agriculture products.
Ms. Hood is a veteran of the agriculture industry with more than 20 years of strategic marketing experience.  Nancy joins MBI from Silverlake Consulting, a boutique marketing firm she founded in 2012, where she conducted marketing projects for the largest biopesticide company (Valent Biosciences) in the industry.

Nancy Hood hails from six generation of farmers and ranchers in the Texas Panhandle. She has extensive experience in production agriculture and livestock management. Professionally, she has spent more than 20 years working to help American agriculture meet global standards for production, sustainability, transparency and social responsibility while marketing seeds, equipment and crop protection products. She has worked in virtually every state in the U.S., leading initiatives in corn, cotton, soybeans, fruits, vegetables, nuts, wheat, canola, milo and numerous specialty crops.
Prior to founding Silverlake Consulting, Nancy held senior positions at multiple agriculture, marketing and communications companies, including ArborGen, The Integer Group, GCI Group Atlanta, Sawyer Riley Compton and Gibbs & Soell. She is a life member of American AgriWomen, and has held leadership positions in several agriculture and marketing associations, such as the National Agricultural Marketing Association, Livestock Publications Council and American Agricultural Editors Association. Nancy is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she received her B.A. in English with a minor in Agricultural Economics.
