AgriNomix, a provider of automation equipment and solutions for the horticultural industry, breaks ground on a major build-out that will enable the company to once again expand its current manufacturing capabilities at its Oberlin, Ohio headquarters.
The 15,000-square-foot expansion project will be completed by November and will increase the company’s operation to more than 70,000 square feet under roof, according to Robert Lando, AgriNomix president.
“The demand for AgriNomix’s growing product line has vastly increased over the past several years, so this expansion will enable us to better answer that demand,” says Lando.
Along with the build-out, AgriNomix plans to increase its workforce with numerous new hires over the next three years. The project marks the third building expansion for AgriNomix, which was founded 21 years ago and has fast become the largest supplier of machinery to the nursery and greenhouse industry, servicing nearly 80 percent of North America’s top 100 growers.
Today, AgriNomix serves as the sole U.S. and Canadian sales and service agent for many of Europe’s industry leaders, including Flier Systems, Demaitere, Lanz Technic, Martin Stolze, Urbinati and Van Zaal. The company has also partnered with several leading agribusiness giants that are constructing automated greenhouses in North America for field crop research.
