SGS Investment Delivers GLP Audit Excellence and New Field Station in USA

A state-of-the-art field station in Wyoming, Il., and successful field research sponsor GLP audits boost SGS Agricultural Services in the U.S.
At 10,000 square feet, including a 40 percent shop area with radiant in-floor heating, SGS’s field research site has undergone a major upgrade. Equipped to conduct an array of field studies on-site, the facility also has dedicated chemical and seed storage space, alongside a large freezer room.
Expanded and upgraded, this field research site also boasts five full-time scientists to support client projects. With a diverse range of expertise, the team has the facilities and capability to conduct trials including; seed, soil or foliar pesticide efficacy; soil fertility; GLP trials for residue and GMO traits.
SGS field research stations across the USA, from Santa Maria, California in the west, to Wyoming, Illinois, via Brookings in South Dakota, successfully passed sponsor company audits in 2014, confirming the quality of SGS GLP trials services.
Operating across a broad spectrum of the agriculture industry, sponsor companies include plant breeders, seed producers, agrochemical and biological companies, fertilizer suppliers and equipment manufacturers.
SGS staff can conduct field trials to support the screening, development and registration of agricultural and horticultural chemicals, bio-pesticides, fertilizers and new plant varieties (including GMO).
SGS field locations also have facilities to conduct testing on all types of crops, including: grains, vegetables, oilseeds, fruits, grasses, animal feed and non-grass animal feeds.
