DuPont Pioneer Opens Crick Research Facility

DuPont Pioneer expands its Johnston, Iowa, campus with a new $40 million facility for research and safety assessments.
The Crick Research Center, named after early DNA researcher Francis Crick, consolidates and expands DuPont Pioneer’s research and development goals.
Iowa’s business director, Bart Baudler, says that in the past five years that DuPont Pioneer has doubled its investment in research and development, spending an estimated $1 billion a year.
Research at the Crick facility, which will house about 400 employees, will focus on developing biotech products, as well as food, feed and environmental safety assessments.
