Today (Dec. 1), Bayer CropScience completed the transaction to acquire certain DuPont Crop Protection Land Management assets in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.
According to Bayer CropScience, the acquisition strategically complements its current product portfolio and allows the company to gain access to the growing forestry, range and pasture business segments in North America with products such as Esplanade, Perspective, Streamline, Escort and Cimarron.
“We are striving to further expand the leadership position of Environmental Science, and this acquisition is a milestone which underlines our growth ambitions,” says Liam Condon, Bayer CropScience CEO. “Through this acquisition, we become a leader in industrial Vegetation Management in North America and globally and will continue to build a best-in-class, innovative platform for future product launches and risk management solutions.”
Condon says the goal is to combine Bayer’s expertise and passion for Industrial Vegetation Management and Forestry with the best people and capabilities of both organizations. “More than ever, we are committed to deliver first-choice solutions to our customers that keep our railways, roadsides and forests clean and safe.”
