U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins kicked off her tenure with a visit to Kentucky, attending the National Farm Machinery Show and meeting directly with farmers and agricultural leaders to discuss industry challenges and opportunities.

“On my very first trip after being sworn in as the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, it was my honor to address 15,000 freedom-loving patriots in Louisville, Kentucky, at the National Farm Machinery Show,” said Secretary Rollins in a USDA press release. “I also had the privilege of meeting with more than 100 farmers this morning and hearing directly from them about the challenges and opportunities they face. Every single day, I will fight for our farmers, ranchers, and American agriculture. Together, we are going to create a new era of rural prosperity across this great country.”

During her visit, Secretary Rollins spoke to a crowd of 15,000 at Freedom Hall, toured the latest advancements in farm equipment, and participated in the Championship Tractor Pull, emphasizing the role of agricultural innovation in strengthening rural economies.

The following morning, she appeared on Fox & Friends live from Louisville, where she discussed strategies for addressing rising egg prices and trade priorities under President Trump’s administration.

Later in the day, Rollins and Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell traveled to Shelbyville, Kentucky, for a fireside chat and meet-and-greet at Gallrein Farms. The discussion with more than 100 local farmers covered critical issues, including avian flu, trade policies, and strategies for revitalizing rural communities.

Rollins’ visit underscores her commitment to engaging directly with producers as she begins her role, focusing on policies that impact farmers, ranchers, and agribusiness leaders across the nation.
