These ambassadors bring a diverse range of expertise and knowledge to support the organization’s mission to globally promote applied microbiology and its potential impact.
The 11 ambassadors were announced in a recent Applied Microbiology news release.
“Our Global Ambassadors help us to reach new audiences, grow our membership and engage a breadth of experience and expertise to deliver our desired impact. Individually, they are deeply committed to their unique area of expertise,” CEO Lucy Harper said in the release. “Collectively, they share our passion and belief that applied microbiology can solve the world’s greatest challenges. Our Global Ambassadors have been appointed to help amplify our campaigns, support our purpose and accelerate discoveries across, and with, our international membership.”
Serving for two years, these ambassadors will play a crucial role in spreading awareness about AMI’s mission and strategies. They’re not just messengers but key players in our communication strategy. Equipped with marketing tools and merchandise, they’ll help expand our membership worldwide.
In the coming weeks, The Microbiologist will spotlight each of the new Global Ambassadors. AMI is also actively seeking more ambassadors from various regions.
