As of July 2023, Biotalys announced that their deputy CFO Douglas Minder will become their CFO according to a release. Biotalys (Euronext – BTLS) is an agtech company that is working on the development of protein-based biocontrol solutions for protection of food and crops. Minder will be taking over the responsibilities of Wim Ottevaere July 1, 2023. Ottevaere will continue to serve Biotalys through an advisory role.

During his tenure, the company successfully completed its IPO, transitioning to a publicly listed entity preparing for commercialization,” said Simon Moroney, chairman of the board. “We are delighted to have Douglas take on the CFO role. He is a highly knowledgeable, proven financial leader who has already demonstrated his capabilities since joining Biotalys. We know that he will continue to be a great asset as he steps into his new role and joins the executive committee.”
Minder joined the Biotalys team in January 2021 and had 30 years of financial experience before joining the team as the deputy CFO. Previously he was a finance business partner at UCB, a Belgium-based multinational biopharmaceutical company. Minder was also an auditor for 20 years, serving multiple Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries. He has worked to help companies achieve long-term financial plans. Minder is an expert in U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards and reporting requirements for U.S. and European markets.
