It’s time to gather again in Kansas City. The Western Seed Association (WSA) is hosting its annual meeting for members Nov. 1 through Nov. 4 at the Westin downtown.
“Expect lots of networking opportunities – I think we’re all just so excited to be back in Kansas City after taking last year off,” says Matt Fenske, WSA president. “There are lots of opportunities to learn and network and just spend quality time with others in the industry.”
The group will honor award winners, retirees and showcase various seed companies during receptions and their expo. Here’s a detailed breakdown of some of the agenda:
- WSA Expo-Visit to meet up with old friends and new, discover new opportunities in the seed industry and keep up with other businesses’ product launches and other news. WHEN: Nov. 2-4 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- WSA Business Meeting-Get the update about what’s going on in the association and help make important decisions for the future. WHEN: Nov. 2 at 5:00 p.m.
- WSA Reception and Award Presentation. WHEN: Nov. 2 from 5:30 p.m.
- ASTA Committee and Working Group Meetings. WHEN: Nov. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Breakouts:

“When I first got into the business this association meant a lot to me,” Fenske says. “Attending this meeting is sort of a rite of passage and a great way to meet and learn people in the business. Connecting to these people is the most valuable thing.”
