Summer brings a lot of excitement in the seed industry, and one thing in particular we’re looking forward to is the 7th Seed Congress of the Americas, held by the Seed Association of the Americas (SAA) and the Argentinean Seed Association.
From September 9-11, the Seed Congress of the Americas will meet in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Congress encourages collaboration between businesses and promotes the seed industry in the Americas.
This year, the Congress will focus on trade and regulation in the Americas, including intellectual property, biotechnology, phytosanitary issues and seed treatment and applied technologies. Other topics up for discussion include understanding regulatory frameworks, royalty collection and enforcement tools, learning about the dynamics of both gene editing and biotechnology. SAA’s work focuses on how to promote and facilitate seed trade, and this is a must-attend event. As always, the Trading Floor will be available for attendees to meet, connect and conduct business in a safe, comfortable space.
