Corteva Agriscience and Stoller, a world leader in plant nutrition foliar and biological solutions, just entered into a commercial partnership for exclusive distribution of Rizotec, a bionematicide for the control of nematodes, that eliminates a substantial amount of eggs and females in sugarcane crops.
With the agreement, Corteva Agriscience makes its global debut in this segment and demonstrates that from now on, it will play a stronger role in the biologicals market for the control of nematodes.
“The partnership celebrates the entrance of Corteva in this sector of bio crop protection products at a worldwide level. We are starting in Brazil and will be expanding our offerings and geographical footprint as we move forward. “Our goal is to take the best solutions that enhance the productivity of farmers wherever they are,” says Rowdy Smith, global portfolio leader, biologicals.
To Stoller, the agreement strengthens its efforts in crop control.
“The history of Stoller in Brazil has always been based in the company’s strength in research and development and translating knowledge into innovation to generate technology and benefits to our customers. The partnership with Corteva, with whom we share similar values, represents an opportunity to unite our expertise and take this unique technology, Rizotec, to a larger number of sugar cane growers and mills,” says Rodrigo Oliveira, CEO of Stoller Brasil and global vice president of Stoller Group.
Therefore, in early 2019, Corteva will offer the solution to its customers and will receive full technical and expert support from Stoller. “We will show our customers our fully integrated portfolio of crop protection and biotech that has been recently improved with the addition of one more relevant technology. “In a single brand, Corteva — farmers will find all the solutions in crop protection they need to increase yield,” says Mário Tenerelli, vice president for Corteva Agriscience Brazil.
