The Organic Seed Alliance is thrilled to announce that Congressman Peter DeFazio will be joining them in Corvallis, Oregon, as our Organic Seed Growers Conference keynote speaker.
The Congressman has long been a champion of policies that support organic farmers and will be traveling to his district to address participants about current Farm Bill discussions and how the organic seed community can help shape a more sustainable food and farming agenda in Washington, DC. He will deliver the keynote address on Saturday, February 17, at 10:45 a.m.
The biennial Organic Seed Growers Conference is the largest organic seed event in the U.S. Attendees will hear the latest in cutting-edge research and policy advocacy, and trade knowledge, techniques, and ideas with other seedheads from around the world. The conference provides a full agenda of presentations, panel discussions, and networking events. The first two days include farm tours and short courses prior to the full conference.
The 9th Organic Seed Growers Conference theme is Synergy that Sustains. This year’s theme reflects an emphasis on developing networks for research, education, and advocacy, and supporting a diversity of approaches to advancing organic seed systems. The conference takes place February 14-17.
