All-America Selections and the National Garden Bureau will host Summer Summit 2017 Sept. 5-8 in Rochester, New York.
The summit will open with a welcome reception. Each day, participants will tour different companies, farms and food-related venues.
The Sept. 6 tour includes stops at Wegman’s Super Store, Harris Seeds’ trials and offices, Greentopia, Green Vision’s cut flower farm and the ecodistrict renaturalization around the falls.
The next day, participants will travel to Canandaigua to meet up with the Home Garden Seed Association tours of Wegman’s Organic Farm, Bejo’s vegetable trials and Sakata Seeds’ trials.
The last day will include further exploration of the Finger Lakes area and visits to Seneca Vegetable Research, Cornell University, HGSA trials and the New York Wine and Culinary Center.
The summit is designed for AAS judges, NGB members, breeders, brokers, growers, retailers, media and garden writers.
