Today (March 16), the National Garden Bureau (NGB) launched its new consumer-focused website, www.ngb.org. Visitors will see a new “Inspiration” blog, experience simplified navigation and a device-responsive design, among other features.
“As National Garden Bureau continues on a growth pattern and quickly adopts industry and communication trends, this website will accommodate new programs to highlight members and their products through the introduction of new promotional activities,” says Diane Blazek, executive director for the NGB and All-America Selections. “With a strong online presence, this website will serve as the home base to drive traffic from the social media community to one central location.”
In fulfilling its mission of disseminating basic instructions for home gardeners, the NGB publishes and sponsors the New Varieties program and the Year Of fact sheets, showcasing flowers and vegetables, including new introductions.
The new website also allows consumers to shop NGB members who sell direct to consumers. In addition, it puts a spotlight on new ornamental varieties and new edible varieties and makes it easy to connect and share ideas using social media.
