ISTA Regrets to Announce the Passing of Honorary Life President, Professor Attilio Lovato of Bologna, at the Age of 91.

“On behalf of the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA), I would like to express my deepest condolences to the members of ISTA on the passing of Professor Attilio Lovato, the Honorary Life President. Professor Lovato was a great seed scientist and visionary who rose from a humble seed technologist to become one of the world’s most accomplished and esteemed leaders in the field of seed testing.
“He championed uniformity in seed testing worldwide and worked tirelessly to expand seed quality assurances around the world. His tenure as President and Honorary Life President witnessed unprecedented growth in the testing of seed, which facilitated international seed trade. Professor Lovato’s humility and dedication to the seed industry served as an inspiration to millions of people around the world.”
