At the ISF World Seed Congress 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa, Marcel Bruins, Editorial Director of European Seed, sits down with Monique van Vegchel, Policy Officer at Plantum. Within Plantum, one of Monique’s focus areas is New Genomic Techniques (NGTs), and she explains where we stand right now in terms of the revision of the EU regulation on NGTs. Her other portfolio is research, and she indicates which areas of plant research deserve our attention, and where the bottlenecks are. Monique shares some about the preparations for next year’s ISF congress, which will be in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
