Kynetec and Spark combine to create the leading provider of agribusiness data analytics and market insights in Brazil.
Kynetec has acquired Spark in Brazil. Spark provide data and insights for the on-farm use of crop protection, seed, crop nutrition and biological products. The combination of Kynetec with Spark creates leading coverage of the crop production market – 29 crops across more than 200 million hectares (including pasture) over the most important agricultural regions of Brazil.
Formed in 2013, Spark has well-established relationships with the key players across the crop production sector. Spark’s local knowledge complements Kynetec’s global reach, adding value to industry insights locally, regionally and globally.
The Spark team will join Kynetec’s global team of industry experts, interviewers, data analysts, marketing scientists and data visualization specialists.
In addition to the creation of Brazil’s leading crop production panel, both companies have expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to provide bespoke Customer Insights. By combining the talented and dedicated staff and methodologies from Spark with Kynetec’s customer insights team, Kynetec is excited about the added value this will bring to its clients and the industry as whole.
Daniel Wirth, Kynetec CEO, commented “This is an exciting day for Kynetec and Spark, as we bring together our two highly respected and talented teams. Kynetec continues to invest in industry-leading data solutions that are mission critical for leading agribusinesses across the world.”
Paul Walker, Chief Operating Officer for Kynetec added “As a global leader in agriculture production, Brazil is a significant market for us and our clients. We are excited to take on this new leadership opportunity and to deliver on the value-creation possibilities that come with this acquisition. This includes strengthening our insights capabilities in crop nutrition and biologicals.”
André Dias, who served as a Managing Partner from Spark will now take on the role of Country Lead for Brazil at Kynetec. He said that joining Spark with Kynetec will provide the industry with many additional benefits. “As the global agricultural powerhouse, Brazil is and will remain an important player for the sustainable food production needs of our world growing population. Combining both companies provides us with the opportunity to further support our local clients in better understanding Brazil’s ever challenging agribusiness markets.”
