Be inspired, share knowledge, connect with others and view the wide range of vegetable crops and varieties as Bejo growers and chain partners will host its annual Open Days, from Tuesday 26 September up to and including Saturday 30 September.
Special attention in the demonstration fields this year will be devoted to new introductions, B-Mox, organic and Oliver F1, Bejo’s first True Potato Seed variety (TPS). Developments can be seen in resistance breeding, including resistance against the new Bremia strain in lettuce. Alongside familiar innovative concepts like the ‘Delicioni’ fresh onion concept and the ‘Coolwrap’ cabbage concept, visitors will discover new application opportunities for the kohlrabi plant.
In the innovative Fruit Crop Tunnel, Bejo will be showing a varied assortment including tomatoes, peppers and gherkins. Advanced modern machinery and several soil preparation and harvesting demonstrations will be on view in the mechanisation exhibition.
On Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 September, Bejo will be organising the Taste, Health & Innovation 2017 – Carrot Symposium. This event is informative for growers and chain partners, who will have the opportunity to network. During an appetising carrot tasting, visitors can discover the differences between Bejo’s carrot types, and also test how various factors influence the taste. Participation is by request, so contact your Bejo representative to register.
The Open Days will take place from Tuesday 26 September through to Saturday 30 September daily from 9 am to 5 pm (Saturday until 4 pm) at Trambaan 2 in Warmenhuizen, the Netherlands.
