Groundwork BioAg recently announced that Andrew Duff has been appointed as the general manager of North America, according to a release.
Duff possesses over 20 years of experience with biostimulants, seed technology and crop production throughout the U.S. Groundwork BioAg believes that this knowledge will allow it to expedite the adoption of the company’s Rootella mycorrhizal inoculants and satisfy the demand of biological solutions for mainstream crops including corn, soybean and cotton.
“The demand from mainstream growers for more biological and regenerative solutions continues to increase,” said Hanan Dor, chief commercial officer at Groundwork BioAg. “The U.S. remains an important growth market for us and is essential to producing more sustainable food for the world. As a well-respected leader in agriculture and a life-long farmer, we believe Andrew is the right person to help us to expand our strategic partnerships, meet grower demand for our Rootella product portfolio and accelerate our carbon sequestration projects to help all farmers tap into existing carbon markets.”
In the newly created position, Duff will head BioAg’s existing operations and guarantee a direct line of communication between its North American distribution partners and growers.
“I am incredibly excited to join Groundwork BioAg at such a pivotal time in agriculture when many farmers and industry partners are adopting new solutions that address climate concerns and sustainability goals,” shared Duff. “Groundwork BioAg is on the forefront of climate-smart agriculture and is bringing products to the farm that improve profitability today and for generations to come.”
Duff grew up on a farm in the Mississippi Delta, where he gained knowledge and experience in agriculture, specifically in distribution, manufacturing and production. He went on to pursue his education at the University of Mississippi before going on to earn his law degree and MBA at Mississippi College. Duff previously led Verdesian Life Sciences’ global strategy for biostimulants and served in leadership positions at Pinnacle Agriculture and Monsanto.
