This week’s episode of Seed Speaks, a weekly video series by Seed World Group, will be live at the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) CSS and Seed Expo in Chicago. The live taping will be at 7:15 a.m. CST Thursday in the Tech Village at the Hyatt Regency West Tower.
Host and Editorial Director Sonja Begemann will be joined in-person by Fan-Li Chou, ASTA vice president, scientific affairs and policy and Diego Risso, Seed Association of the Americas executive director. Szabolcs Ruthner, regulatory affairs manager at the International Seed Federation will join the conversation virtually.
These experts will provide global perspective on the up-to-date status of new breeding techniques around the globe. Because agriculture is a global economy, the policies and regulations placed by each country have great impact for seed companies involved in sales and research worldwide.
