Seed industry professionals from across the U.S. and around the world will once again gather in Chicago for the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) CSS & Seed Expo. This annual event is from Dec. 6-9 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago and will feature an all-new layout.
To optimize attendees’ experiences, ASTA is hosting four unique ‘Villages’ themed to match key topics of the conference, including sessions and exhibitors. Each Village has a theater, relevant exhibitors, networking tables and lounges and an all-new ‘food truck’ simulation to create a small-plate food festival during the event.
The four villages include:
- Lead Village, located in the Grand Ballroom East Tower, it focuses on career development, management skills and the new Seed Expo Lab Showcase. Exhibitors feature labs, research firms, universities, ag organizations and other similar groups. Reception: Monday, Dec. 6, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
- Treat Village, join exhibitors and sessions related to seed treatment in the Grand Hall of the East Tower. In addition to informative sessions, this village will host food trucks with a variety of treats. Reception Dec. 7, 5:00-6:30 p.m.
- Tech Village , reveals up-and-coming digital and precision agriculture trends with exhibitors in agriculture firms, software, IT, drones and other relevant technology companies. Located in the Recency Ballroom of the West Tower, you’ll also find the return of the Ag Tech Innovation Showcase. Reception Dec. 8, 5:00-6:30 p.m.
- Field Village, find field equipment, seed processing and sorting and supply chain (including logistics and packaging) exhibitors in the Riverside Center of the East Tower. It features a new lounge with circular bar and will include several ASTA conference sessions in its theater. ASTA closing holiday lunch party Dec. 9, 12:00-1:00 p.m. with grand prize winners announced.
