Do you have any thoughts on how the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) can better protect our plant resource base against the introduction and spread of new plant pests? Now is your chance to let the federal government know.
Each year, the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) conducts consultations on draft International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs). As the Canadian representative to the IPPC, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is responsible for gathering and submitting comments on behalf of all Canadians.
Let them know any thoughts you have on this year’s proposed ISPMs, available on the CFIA website under “Canada’s role in international plant protection.”
