Today, Canterra Seeds launched their newest canola hybrid, available for sale this fall. CS2300 is a big-yielding, Genuity Roundup Ready hybrid, that features excellent standability, according to the company.
“The new CS2300 is the big-yield winner that growers are looking for,” said Shaan Tsai, Oilseed and Pulse Product Development manager. “Over the past two seasons we have consistently seen CS2300 stretch our expectations for yield at test sites across Western Canada.” CS2300 also boasts a great standability rating, making it easier to harvest, as well as a strong resistance to blackleg, he said.
This newest introduction from Canterra was acquired through their partnership with DL Seeds, a Manitoba-based hybrid canola breeding program.
“As a seed company founded in Western Canada, for Western Canada, we are continually striving to bring our customers products that excel on a local level. DL Seeds is a like-minded partner who is striving for the same goal, success for western Canadian growers,” said David Hansen, President and CEO of CANTERRA SEEDS. “This is evident in the evolution of our canola portfolio, where we have been successfully identifying winners that consistently meet, and exceed, farmers’ expectation for performance.”
