Best Practices in Seed Treatment Operations – A Seed World Strategy Webinar & Podcast

For most, planting is complete, but the weather meant farmers were working at a fast and furious pace, and so too were those who treat seed. With a focus on safety and stewardship, this webinar will look at what happens behind the scenes during the seed treatment season. What is happening on the ground? Where is there room for improvement? What actions can be taken to further improve safety and stewardship? Now is the time to identify where improvements can be made and to document procedural changes, while it’s all still fresh, to implement next season.

  1. It would be helpful to seed technology companies specializing in high value vegetable seed if purveyors of seed treatments would differentiate agronomic seed sector dusting issues from the horticultural seed sector.
Our regulating bodies, when considering seed treatments for label registration, are unaware the limitations related to dusting are an agronomic seed issue and not a vegetable seed sector one.
Taking the time and committing the resources educating regulators to this fact could generate faster and more favorable vegetable seed treatment labeling opportunities.
