Help Needed from Canadian Producers for Wheat Research

A new research project based out of the University of Manitoba needs help to investigate the quality and gluten strength of CWRS wheat._x000D_
_x000D_
The project researchers, Harry Sapirstein and Paul Bullock at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences want to know how farm-grown samples compare with those from experimental sites._x000D_
_x000D_
The researchers are seeking 250 harvest samples of CWRS varieties grown in 2015 from across Western Canada. They are looking for samples of the following varieties:_x000D_

  • Glenn
  • _x000D_

  • CDC Stanley
  • _x000D_

  • CDC Utmost VB
  • _x000D_

  • Carberry
  • _x000D_

  • Cardale
  • _x000D_

  • Stettler
  • _x000D_

  • Harvest
  • _x000D_

Participants will receive a submission package and are asked to provide a 2 kg (5 lb) sample, along with information about the field where it was grown. In return, participants will receive a complete analysis of their sample as well as a summary of all submitted samples._x000D_

Your participation in this program will help maintain the Canadian CWRS wheat brand as the premium breadmaking class worldwide._x000D_
