S&W Seed Company has filed a patent application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for stevia plant variety SW107.
“This patent marks a significant milestone in our stevia development program,” says Mark Grewal, S&W Seed Company chief executive officer. “With the huge growth in demand for stevia in the past five years since we entered the industry, food manufacturers and processors have expressed a desire for reliable sources of stevia leaf production outside of China.”
