The Tennessee-based Pinnacle Agriculture Holdings has acquired Liebl Ag of Minnesota. Operating as part of Pinnacle’s Performance Agriculture brand, the new location will be a full-service agricultural input retailer specializing in the sale of seed, crop protection chemicals, fertilizer, precision agriculture services and other related services.
Specializing in soybeans, wheat, sugar beets and corn, Liebl Ag was founded in 2007 by Franny and Margaret Liebl, providing seed and a full line of liquid fertilizers to local farmers. As value-added services, Liebl Ag also offers on-farm deliveries and custom side dressing applications.
Performance Agriculture’s newest location will remain at 2601 West Main Street, Ada, MN. Franny Liebl will remain as operations manager through June 30. Jay Merkens, who has been with Liebl Ag since 2012, will assume the role of operations manager on July 1. All other employees of Liebl Ag will retain their positions under the new ownership, and Brock Blakeway and Matt Larson have recently joined the team to provide customers with additional agronomic services and solutions.
Ada, Minnesota, is Performance Agriculture’s 14th retail location across eight states offering seed, custom fertilizer blends, and crop protection products, as well as award-winning OptiGro precision agriculture services.
