Seed World, in partnership with the Future Seed Executives recognized Samantha Sisk, corporate communications manager at AgReliant Genetics, with the Future Giants award at the American Seed Trade Association’s 132nd Annual Convention in Washington, D.C.
The award, given annually, recognizes an early-career individual who demonstrates the ability to make a significant impact on the seed industry. Nominations for the award are judged by Seed World’s editorial board and are based on leadership, industry involvement and success in their area of specialty.
Sisk, a graduate of Purdue University, manages the company’s internal and external communications. She is active in ASTA’s Communications Committee and the Future Seed Executives program. She’s also served on the Indiana Crop Improvement Association’s Corn Belt Conference Planning Committee, the National FFA Career Development Event Committee and is a member of the National Agri-Marketing Association.
“Samantha took a non-existent communications policy and developed a seamless strategy, integrating the whole company,” wrote Thomas Koch of AgReliant Genetics, who nominated Sisk. “Her position is one of the most cross-departmental of our company with all departments calling her one of their own. Samantha has transitioned a position of basic communication into one of strong leadership influence within our company.”
