Registration is open for the American Seed Trade Association’s annual Farm and Lawn Seed Conference to be held Nov. 8-9 in Kansas City, Missouri. Bringing together more than 700 seed industry professionals from across the United States, this intense networking event offers you an opportunity to connect with the key players in grass, turf, reclamation, conservation seed and much more.
Held in conjunction with the Western Seed Association’s annual meeting, highlights of the conference include talks on water conservation and anti-turf attitudes at the Lawn Seed Division meeting. Nick Goeser of the National Corn Growers Association will give an update on the Soil Health Partnership Program, and ASTA members will give a cover crop outlook in the Cover Crop Working Group meeting.
Wheat flag smut impacts on seed purchasing will be discussed in the Farm Seed Division meeting. Mike Tupper, deputy assistant director of resources and planning at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and his colleague Patricia Roller, national seed coordinator at the BLM, will speak at the Environment and Conservation Seed Committee meeting.
