Limagrain South America (LSA) inaugurated its new seed factory in Brazil. With a production capacity of 1 million corn seed bags, LSA hopes to have 6 percent to 7 percent of corn seed market by 2018.
Limagrain leaders, including chairman Jean Yves Foucault, board members and members of the cooperatives executive committee, were on site for the celebration.
The company entered the Brazilian market in 2011, selling corn and sorghum hybrid seeds under the LG brand, and will continue to expand its business in South America with the objective to bring better seed options to corn, soybean, sorghum and wheat farmers.
