Purdue University will host it’s annual National Conference for Agribusiness Nov. 10-11 in Lafayette, Ind. This year’s conference will focus on people, performance and productivity.
The conference is designed to help improve the way companies approach talent management. As such, one of the speakers is Justin Whitman, executive human resources leader for GE — a leader when it comes to talent management in corporate America. Other speakers include Karen Grabow of Grabow Consulting LLC, Michael Gunderson of Purdue University, Roxanne Laczo of Cargill and Steve Vande Loo of Coca-Cola, among others.
In addition, Purdue will release the results of a new survey of more than 600 agribusiness professionals that focuses on performance management. Gunderson explains that companies with effective performance management practices have stronger financial outcomes and greater growth. Attendees will also learn how performance management varies by roles within an organization, and the differences that occur between industry sectors and companies of different sizes.
