Federal Hybrids Names Brian Bormann Plant Manager

Federal Hybrids, Inc., names Brian Bormann as its new plant manager. Bormann will be responsible for managing both Federal Hybrids warehouses in West Bend and Algona, Iowa. He will also be in charge of the logistics of seed shipments.

“I joined Federal Hybrids because we share the same principles: honesty, dependability and teamwork,” says Bormann. “Federal Hybrids has an outstanding product portfolio, focused on integrity at every level. This family-owned seed company is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing, independent seed companies in the Midwest. I am excited about working with the Federal Hybrids team.”

Bormann has 28 years of seed industry experience, 22 years in seed production and six years in seed research, all with DuPont Pioneer facilities located in Iowa, Oregon, Michigan, Nebraska, Florida and Georgia.

“We are thrilled to have Brian join the Federal Hybrids team,” says Tim Butikofer, Federal Hybrids president. “Brian has first-hand experience of running a seed company’s warehouse and logistics. We believe his 28 years of seed experience and a successful track record make him a wonderful fit for our growing seed organization.”

Bormann, an Iowa native, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Agriculture at Iowa State University.
