Megan Provost will join the Farm Foundation as vice president of policy and programs effective Oct. 2. Provost serves as U.S. government affairs manager for Dow AgroSciences, an Agricultural Division of Dow-DuPont, working with state and federal legislators, regulators and food chain allies.
Prior to joining Dow AgroSciences, Provost served as a legislative assistant for Sen. Richard Lugar, (R-Ind.); served as special assistant to the administrator at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service; and worked as an economist at the American Farm Bureau Federation.
“We are pleased to add Megan’s expertise in food and agriculture policy issues to the Foundation program team,” says Constance Cullman Farm Foundation president. “Megan’s experience working on food and agricultural policy issues, as well as her understanding of how those issues and policies impact day-to-day life in rural America, will enhance the foundation’s ability to help public and private decision-makers better understand and address today’s evolving issues.”
Provost is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, earning a bachelor’s in agribusiness, and a master’s in agricultural economics. She holds a juris doctor degree from George Washington University Law School and is a member of the Indiana bar.
