Mogens Toft Jensen, Head of Product Management in DLF, retires from the seed business after a 38 year long and exciting career with DLF.
Mogens started back in 1980 in DLF before the Danish seed business was consolidated in the late 80’s. Throughout his career Mogens has been engaged in seed production, domestic product management, international product management, marketing, and until January 1st 2018 he has held the position as Head of Product Management, including the royalty business in DLF.
Mogens’ career has followed the international development of DLF and during this period, he has been involved with all new varieties and species in the DLF portfolio.
“The ‘Product-mentor’ is capable of providing detailed information about all of the more than 350 varieties in the DLF crop plan,” says Søren Halbye,CCO of DLF. “In addition, Mogens holds an unofficial record, as he has visited 40 countries to market and promote DLF products to customers and end users all over the world. Mogens has been a great asset in DLF, and we wish him all the best in his future civil life outside the seed business.”
From New Year until March 23, Mogens is Senior Consultant in DLF, assisting the Product Management Team to ensure the very best transfer of knowledge.
“DLF’s Product Management department is a vital part of our organization,” says CCO Søren Halbye, “I am happy to inform, that Mette Jespersen, who has been with us since 2016, has taken over the lead as Head of Corporate Product Management effective from January 1st 2018.”
Mette has a background as an agricultural economist. In DLF, her cross-functional work has helped to build a strong understanding and knowledge of the complete value chain in seed operations.
The DLF Corporate Product Management Team consists of forage and turf specialists, who work closely together with the R&D teams and the local product managers to transfer science into knowledge for the customers benefit.
